Maelura is a quiet world where art and spirit meet. Each creation tells a story of wonder, each piece is crafted with pure intention and guided by emotions.
The name Maelura is defined by the soft, whispering power of creation. It lures you in with a unique aura. I decided that I wanted a name to go by that wasn’t my own but still a part of me. I took the Mae part of my name. To me the Mae in my name is the most used. If people don’t call me Aimae, they call me Mae and either way both have Mae, it is the most consistent part of my name. I chose Lura as the second part. I wanted lure, like I lure you in, but also because this whole journey started because of a fishing beach trip, and lure is a common fishing material haha. Aura is also mixed in there, so it is more of lure aura mixed up which actually goes pretty good together ! That is why I say Mae lures you in with aura, that is Maelura.

HI ! My name is Aimae ! I am the creator behind Maelura. I have a desire to create ethereal unique art. My process is intuitive-led by shape, color, memory, and mood. I work with earth-bounded materials to create art that feels alive and holds energy! In every piece, there is a story, in every story there is a flare of uniqueness and yet entirely yours.
My Inspiration

This Shell Sculpture is the one that inspired me to start my journey of sharing and selling my art. The Sculpture is called Paw Paw’s Tree of Life. I made this for my grandfather for his 85th birthday. He had passed away 46 days after I gifted this to him. I will forever keep him in my heart, as he was a beautiful, kind soul.
The Beginning of a Journey
Since I was a little girl seashells were my favorite thing about going to the beach. In the year of 2024 I started going on fishing trips with my brother and my father. The beach that we would go to was entirely made up of shells. I haven’t been to shell made beaches many times before I started going on fishing trips with my family. Popular shells to find there were Eastern Oyster shells, different types of Scallop shells, Whelk Shells, Ark shells, and many more. Now the thing is all the shells where mostly broken, every now and again you would find ones that were whole. That was part of their beauty to me. I am a worshipper of the sea, and all the beauty it creates. With out the sea’s beauty I wouldn’t be able to make my own beautiful creations. That saying every time I create, I send gratitude to the bigger creator, our mother earth and the goddess of the sea.
